The fantastically brilliant demise of rangers FC has been the subject of much entertainment for us and other football fans throughout Scotland over the past few months, but now our attention turns to who replaces that dead club in the Scottish Premier League.
We understand that Sevco 5088 Ltd has applied for the dead club’s share in the SPL, currently held by administrators Duff & Phelps and a vote of SPL member clubs will take place on July 4th. Sevco 5088 Ltd own the dead club’s assets and intend to form some form of Zombie FC.
We completely oppose the entry of any new football club into the SPL, especially one with links to a former club that cheated Celtic, Scottish football and the public purse for years. Aberdeen, Dundee Utd and Hearts have declared that they will vote no to a new club but media reports suggest other clubs will give their support to the walking dead on July 4th.
Our members have discussed this situation at great length and we have decided that we will boycott all matches hosted by clubs that vote yes to Zombie FC and urge all fans to do likewise.
